Hey everyone, it’s your boy here, back with another project. Today, I’m diving into something a little different – I’m going to remake the YSL June Box Bag from the official flagship store. Yeah, you heard that right. I saw this bag and thought, “I can totally make that.” So, let’s get into it!

First off, I headed to the Saint Laurent online store and started my research. I scrolled through the pages, checking out all the details of the June Box Bag. It’s a beauty, made of smooth leather, and has this chic front flap with a pivoting YSL closure. The product descriptions mentioned it’s 100% lambskin and has diamond-quilted overstitching. I also noticed the dimensions are about 19 x 15 x 8 cm with a strap drop of 48 cm. Fancy, right?

After gathering all the info I needed, I started to sketch out my plan. I needed to get my hands on some quality lambskin leather. So, I went to my local leather supplier and found some. I grabbed my tools and started to cut the leather according to the dimensions I had. This part was tricky, had to make sure every piece was perfect.

Next up, I began the stitching. The diamond-quilted pattern was the most challenging part, I tried to make it look as neat as possible. I spent hours just stitching, making sure each line was straight and even. I’m not gonna lie, it was tough, but seeing it come together was so satisfying.

Then came the hardware. I found some bronze-toned pieces that looked similar to the YSL closure. I attached them carefully, making sure they were secure and functional. The pivoting closure was a bit of a puzzle, but I managed to figure it out. It’s all about patience, folks.

  • Gathered materials: lambskin leather, bronze-toned hardware.
  • Cut the leather: followed the dimensions (19 x 15 x 8 cm).
  • Stitched the pieces: focused on the diamond-quilted pattern.
  • Attached the hardware: ensured it was secure and functional.

Finally, after days of work, my YSL June Box Bag remake was complete. It wasn’t easy, but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out. It looks surprisingly close to the original, and I learned a ton along the way.

Final Thoughts

This project was definitely a challenge, but it was so worth it. I pushed my skills to the limit and created something I’m really proud of. Plus, it’s a great feeling to make something luxurious with your own two hands. If you’re thinking about trying something like this, go for it! Just be prepared to put in the work and have a lot of patience. Until next time, stay creative!
